What is a Manufactured Home?
A manufactured home is built in a factory setting in a climate controlled setting away from the harmful elements that traditional “site built” homes have to endure. Our manufactured homes are built to the most stringent building codes in the country. The majority of the home construction (roughly 90%) is complete when the home leaves the factory. Our building partner Jacobsen Homes is rated the #1 Builder in the Southeast for Manufactured Homes and is a 3rd Generation family owned and operated business founded in 1959, making them the oldest manufactured home builder in the southeast.
- Quality: Built in a factory by a skilled workforce, our buildings are rarely exposed to weather or its extremes and are built to exacting quality control and inspection programs.
- Speed: A manufactured home is build and installed in less than 30% of the time it takes to build a conventional home.
- Cost: Analysis shows that our prices have risen at a much slower rate than conventional cost; furthermore, there has always been a big difference in cost between conventional homes and manufactured homes, especially when time value is considered. Because our homes are constructed in less time, the costs are controlled more efficiently and kept at a minimum which enables us to offer our homes at a fraction of the cost of traditional site built homes. With a wide variety of plans and options to choose from, you are sure to find a home that fits your needs and budget.
- Flexibility: For many users, manufactured homes offer many times the flexibility of usage, and durability than conventional homes. Often, it’s easier to build a manufactured home than it is to remodel existing home.
